A Word of Thanks for Those Who Have our Backs
I’m a learn-aholic. When a subject interests me, I’m all over learning the inside and outside of it. As an extension of being a learn-aholic, I am also a research-aholic; I have to know the history of a subject and basically everything about it.
As someone who has always been aware of angels, spirit guides and the psychic and supernatural realms, you can bet that I’ve spent almost my whole life seeking answers and asking questions. My relationship with my own guides began so long ago and yet after all these years (never mind how many) something just dawned on me.
So I’m on this website of one of the shamanic healers I like to follow. She doesn’t know me personally, but we’re both from the east coast and I’ve just always felt connected to her healing style and her personality that I get to glean through YouTube videos. She’s always teaching and conducting healing sessions and I’m always seeing if it’s something new I need to know about or if I have time to join in just because I want to.
In her shamanic healing session class syllabus, I read the words I’ve probably read or written myself a thousand times, but this time I got a little nudge from my guides that made me giggle. She describes that she will be joining everyone’s energy together and she’ll be calling on everyone’s spirit guides to join in and work together. Not at all unusual to say or do, right.
And then I got to thinking. Okay today, lots of people are aware of their spirit guides. People like me often encourage people to talk to their spirit guides and enlist them in helping them find answers or get guidance in a situation. And now we’re asking them to attend classes with us (not that they wouldn’t be present anyway). But think about it. If this was 1953, the notion of spirit guides would be something we’d expect that only Native Americans knew of or a few spiritual leaders might believe in.
Before the age of the internet, spiritual awakening and the notion of spirit guides was not so widely known or accepted as it is today. People are learning to connect directly with their spirit guides, as they should. Sure, we still look to spiritual leaders, shamans and healers to guide us in the many practices of such, but the direct dial mode has probably never been so busy. As a result, guides have never been so busy.
So as I’m looking over this class that teaches you shamanic healing practices, I’m getting nudged. I got the distinct impression that my guides wanted me to think for a minute about just how busy guides in general really are these days, as opposed to just a few decades ago. And it’s true. I get it.
I utilize the wisdom of my spirit guides daily and often. So I wanted to take a moment to thank my angels, spirit guides and family who have crossed over who help me, speak to me and guide me on a daily basis. I try to thank them every time I talk to them, but I know that there are many times when they just help even without my solicitation. My guides, angels and family have my back – and yours have your back too. We should thank them often for all they do to make our journey here one that is filled with blessings and enlightenment. Thank you.
